While it might seem like the next step should be instant results, the real work is only just beginning. In this post, we’ll pull back the curtain on the journey your request takes, highlighting each stage and the people involved in turning your click into a comprehensive report. Step 1: The Request is Logged The moment you submit your background check order, it’s logged into a secure system. This digital handshake ensures your request is tracked from start to finish, with all necessary details—like candidate information and the types of searches required—captured immediately. Step 2: Identity Verification & Compliance Checks Before any searches begin, the system verifies the data provided. Are names spelled correctly? Are dates of birth and Social Security numbers complete? This early check is crucial for compliance with legal standards and helps avoid downstream delays. Step 3: The Search Begins With the information verified, the background screening team initiates a series of database and public record searches. These can include criminal records, employment and education verifications, and more—depending on what you requested.
